My name is Barbara Geer, I have been a stay at home mom since 2004 and when my oldest daughter was 3 years old, I started my journey as a parent volunteer. Oh sure I volunteered in the past…I dabbled in Junior League, but nothing really prepared me for the next 14 years of being what I call a professional volunteer. First of all, I want to say that I know I am completely and utterly blessed to have been able to stay home with my two girls. My girls are now in college and high school…and I volunteered all along the way from PTA, Girl Scouts, Booster Clubs, NCL, etc…
My hope is to help all of the other parents and/or volunteers out there by helping them know some tips and tricks to being more organized with your volunteering stuff. I have seen many volunteers quit over the years, because it’s just too much or too overwhelming…I have come so close several times!
